J. Richard “Dick” Heaton is a lifelong resident of Bardstown and graduate from Centre College. Mayor Heaton is the third generation of his family to serve as Mayor of Bardstown following his grandfather James F. Conway and his uncle Gus Wilson. In 1999, Dick was elected to the Bardstown City Council and served three terms until he was elected Mayor of Bardstown in November 2006. In November 2016, he won a seat on the City Council and was later appointed Mayor of Bardstown by a unanimous vote.
Britt Kulsveen is a Bardstown native with deep Kentucky bourbon roots .She is the great-granddaughter of A. Lambert Willett, founder of Willett Distillery. Britt is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she studied political science and later studied distillation at L’allemond Ethanol Tech in Montreal, Quebec. The historic Willet Distillery has been family owned and operated since it was founded in 1936 and a family distilling legacy dating back to the mid 1800’s. Britt recently succeeded her mother, Martha Harriett Willett Kulsveen, as President and Chief Whiskey Officer.
